Website design and development in Lugano and Ticino
A website can look polished and still not bring in a single enquiry. Visitors don't immediately understand what you do, can't find the form, and have to zoom in to read on their phone. A website works when visitors get quickly to where they need to go, and the design is there to take them.
We design and build websites from Lugano, for Ticino and the rest of Switzerland: from the page structure to launch, starting from the people who will use them.
What we do
Business websites
A few clear pages to present your company and get people in touch.
Custom websites
When you need features or integrations that an off-the-shelf theme can't handle.
Redesigns
We take over the site you have and keep what works, including the addresses Google already knows.
Design and UX
Visual hierarchy, navigation, easy-to-use forms and copy that guides people towards getting in touch.
Speed and accessibility
Lightweight pages, comfortable on a phone and readable for people using a keyboard or a screen reader.
Core SEO
Titles, structure and structured data set up while the site is being built.
Which technology
WordPress, Wix and other website builders are designed so that anyone, from beginner to expert, can put a website online on their own. They're fine for getting started on a tight budget, but they have a ceiling: every extra feature is a third-party plugin or module, often with a subscription or licence to renew, and the site also loads code it doesn't use.
With code written specifically for your website, that ceiling rises:
- HTML – for a simple business website with a few pages that rarely change, it's often the best solution: very light, no database or updates to keep up with, minimal hosting costs.
- React and Next.js – the modern solution for a fully custom website. Pages arrive ready-made from the server and open almost instantly, the design doesn't depend on a theme, and the content management panel is built around what you need.
This website is built that way, with Next.js: the server delivers the home page in under two tenths of a second.
How we work
Analysis
If you already have a website, we start from what works and what doesn't. You can also just ask for the free design and UX analysis .
Structure and content
Together we decide which pages you need, what each one says and where it leads the reader.
Design
You see the main pages before they're developed, and we refine them with you.
Development and launch
Website, domain, certificate and email connected without days when your mail stops arriving.
After launch
Changes and support from us, or a panel to manage text and images yourself.
Who it's for
For companies whose website is the first contact with a new customer, and who get little or nothing from that website today.
- SMEs without a website, or with one built years ago
- anyone with a polished website that doesn't bring in enquiries
- anyone who needs to change platform and is worried about losing their Google rankings
Costs
Every website is quoted per project, based on what it needs to do.
Hosting, domain and email accounts have a separate fee, and we can take care of them with our hosting and IT support service.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a new website take?
It depends mainly on the copy and on how quickly decisions are made, more than on development. We set the timeline in the quote.
Will I be able to update the website myself?
Yes, if you need to: we include a panel to edit text, images and articles. If you prefer, we make the changes for you.
WordPress or a custom website?
It depends on what the website needs to do, who will manage it and how much you want to invest: WordPress to start with a small budget, a custom website when speed and personalisation matter. We've written about it in when a custom website beats a CMS (in Italian).
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign my website?
Not if the switch is prepared: old addresses are redirected to the new ones, and titles and content that worked are kept.
What does the free design and UX analysis look at?
Clarity of the message, visual hierarchy, the path to getting in touch, responsiveness and accessibility. You receive it by email within 24 hours, with no obligation.

UX/UI audit: find out whether your website really offers a good experience
A website can look polished and still be difficult to use. A UX/UI audit looks at visual hierarchy, navigation, typography, colour, calls to action, forms, mobile behaviour and accessibility to understand what is holding the user experience back and which improvements should come first.

A CMS lets you get started quickly and with a modest initial investment, but not every project has the same needs. For a company that sells services or just a few products, a custom website can offer more control over experience, performance and personalisation, and cost less over time.

Roughly what it costs
Every website is quoted per project; the analysis of the one you already have is free.

Request the analysisEvery company is different: we look at the amount of work and the complexity of the project, and the resulting quote may come in below or above these figures.
The quote depends on the number of pages, the features required, who writes the copy and how much of what you already have can be reused.
